And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years; so the days of Jacob, the years of his life, were a hundred forty and seven years.

What's bothering Rashi?

This verse opens a new section of the Torah, yet in the scroll it begins with almost no gap after the words before it. Why should the start of Jacob's story be shut so tightly against what precedes it?
